About Us

Corey Rudell (Happy Mahoney)  This is Corey Rudell's first show with the Funhouse Theatre Company, and he is excited to once again be under the direction of Michael Daehn.  Previous collaborations include Little Shop of Horrors (Mushnik) at Ball State University and Chicago (Billy Flynn) and ANNIE (Rooster) at Muncie Civic Theatre. When not on stage, Corey is probably outside getting lost in the wilderness.

Nick Murhling (Bobo) is making his semi-professional acting debut in Clown Bar.  A recent graduate of Ball State University, Nick has studied telecommunications and theatre for the past four years.  Some of his favorite roles at BSU include Vershinin in Three Sisters, Valdez in The Unseen, and the Creature in Frankenstein.  Nick is also an improviser at ComedySportz right here in Indianapolis.  He hopes to eventually join his friends in Chicago where he can work, perform, and clown around in real life.  Nick is thankful to Michael Daehn for bringing him on board for this wonderful project, as well as his family and friends for their support.

Sean Haynes (Dusty) is excited to make his first appearance in the Indy Fringe Festival. He was last seen earlier this summer performing in the Richmond Shakespeare Festival’s productions of King Lear and The Comedy of Errors. Sean would like to thank Michael Daehn for this opportunity to be a part of the merry pranksters in Clown Bar, and the rest of the creative team for a great experience. Sean is about to enter his senior year at Ball State University working towards a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Karaline Feller (Betty) is very pleased to be a part of her second performance with Fun House Productions recently appearing as Betty in The Norwegians. Some of her favorite Indianapolis area roles include Annelle (Steel Magnolias), Pluto (School House Rock), part of the teenage Greek chorus (How I Learned to Drive), General Genghis Khan Schmitz (Suessical) as well as playing multiple roles in Sylvia.

Mac Wright (Timmy) is an actor who graduated from Ball State University's Department of Theatre and Dance. He is currently pursuing a career in voice acting. His notable past rolls have been Kulygin (The Three Sister), Balthazar (Romeo and Juliet), and Gaston (Beauty and the Beast). Miranda Johnson (Petunia) is very excited to be making her debut with Funhouse Theatre Company. Miranda is a senior Theatre Education major at Ball State University. She is excited to switch gears from directing to acting before she begins her journey as a student teacher. In her free time, Miranda focuses her energy on her improv team, Reflex, based out of the Ball State Department of Theatre and Dance. She would like to thank Mike for always providing her with opportunities, and her parents for encouraging her to follow her dreams.

Mission Statement

Fun House Productions was created in December 2015 by artistic directors Michael Daehn and Karaline Feller to bring  weird, clever, mischievous  yet strangely engaging stories by  contemporary American playwrights to Indianapolis audiences.  Our emphasis is on collaborative character and plot driven approaches to storytelling employing only modest design and production values.

Our first production was The Norwegians by C. Denby Swanson, and featured Ms. Fellers, Kathleen Niemann, Craig Underwood and Luke Burris. It was directed by Mr. Daehn and ran February 25-28, 2016 at the Indy Fringe Eleven theatre
